When Patrice and Delia arrive, they are met by Edwards, Phillip's valet. He has various servants take their bags or anything that needs carrying.

"It is a great pleasure to see you again, Lady Patrice." [okay, that's probably the wrong honorific. If you want him to call you something, retcon it. Doubtless hes met you before and is one of those wonderful servants who is charming and makes everyone comfortable while still being absolutely proper.] He then welcomes Delia.

After seeing to any needs Patrice and her friend might have and having drinks brought (if desired). He will inform Patrice, "I am afraid your brother and her grace are not here at present. They were summoned on business two nights ago and have not yet returned."

"That's odd," Patrice replies. "Did they leave any word as to when they were expected back? I know Juliana has several things planned. I can host in her absence if she's left basic instructions, but she didn't suggest that would be necessary."

Patrice nibbles her lower lip. "There's no hint of what business they were called away on?" It's not really a question and Edwards doesn't think Patrice expects an answer from her tone.

"I only know that they were summoned to the palace by Prince Eric."

Patrice arches her delicate eyebrows. "That's ... also unusual. We'll await their return, then. If anything comes up that would require Phillip or Juliana, and I can help, please let me know at once. And, of course, if there's any word from them, let me know that as well."

She frowns. "My mother doesn't know about this, does she? She worries."

"Knowing that you were to be arriving today, we decided it best to wait and brief you rather than involving your mother."
