The game opened with Gerard's SouthernFleet ordered to Begma, where officers attended or lectured at the Begman War College and the crews drank fruity drinks.
There were rumors that Corwin was seen in Castle Amber in recent weeks.
Commander Ioan Forester of Caine's Northern Fleet ran into Commodore Sean O'Donovan and told him that Northern Fleet was being dispatched to stop Corwin's fleet from attacking Amber. O'Donovan immediately ran to find Admiral Ambrose, who was meeting with Lord Fionntán Sabatini. The three decided to take the fastest ship available, Aurora, to see what was going on in Amber. Sir George Myer Westerville also asked for passage back to Amber on Aurora.
There was terrible weather on the way. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, Aurora would have been lost.
The ship stopped in quiet waters for repairs, and then later caught up with Corwin's fleet as it was engaging Caine's Northern Fleet.
Bording parties from Aurora led by Sir George and Commodore O'Donovan started taking and sinking enemy ships, or using them for fire ships.
Aurora sank and the crew moved Amrbose's flag to a string of captured ships.
Eventually, Amber's forces defeated Corwin's fleet.
