Of her earlier life, little is known. But, it seems obvious that Elyssa has always been fascinated with pretty things, and that's pretty much what got her to where she is now: working as a jeweler. She's got an eye for design, and the knack for cutting stones just so. And for evaluating value. Recently, her shop was purchased from its original owner, the man who "discovered" her talents. She is now hiring additonal people to work in the shop, and concentrating on creativity and design herself. Traversing the streets of the Eternal City, moving further from the posh surroundings of the town houses that serve as the city residences of the noble houses, one draws closer to the shop where Elyssa works. The storefront is a study in expensive tastefulness, the window displaying the latest creations of the artist, a glittering array that ranges from gaudy baubles to almost ethereal pieces. Overhead, out of the corner of the eye, there's a glimpse of the points of the massive iron gate that lowers over the front at night, lurking proof of the city's less desirable elements.
