The handlers are reported to be sporting large billhooks, carrying large slabs of raw meat and have only been spotted in the wee hours of the morning. While the management of the Circus was unwilling to comment on these incidents, speculation is rampant about what escaped and when from the Circus' rather unique menagerie.

The Admiralty is growing increasingly concerned about troubles in Golden Circle waters and King Oberon’s continued absence.

This season's fashion statement among the young well-to-do ladies of Amber is a black rose. Hematite, black onyx and black jade is in short supply as Amber jewelry artisans struggle to keep up with the demand. Princess Florimel, herself, has been seen sporting a small black diamond ring delicately carved in the shape of rose. The less aristocratic ladies are echoing this trend in hats, hair accessories and corsages of aromatic black paper roses.

The Rangers are encountering increasing threats closer to Amber.

Prince Brand was involved in a battle in Southside during Carnival. He left his five opponents dead.

Major Chantris has been seen throughout the kingdom following sightings of the Unicorn.

Reported sightings of the elusive Frog-boy have reached fever pitch and the City Watch is reporting that it is unlikely that one being could be responsible for all of the damage charges and eyewitness accounts that are now flooding the Watch offices. The cause of the retreat is alleged to be the actual appearance of Mdm. DeCheney deceased husband, Mssr. Richaud DeCheney. While Mdm. DeCheney has engaged in several attempts to contact her ex-spouse in the past decade, and has indeed claimed success on numerous occasions, Mdm. DeCheney's subsequent retirement due to 'nervous vapors' perhaps speaks otherwise.
