George was born when his sister was fifteen, to the joy of the Baron, who had begun to despair that he'd never have a son. He had very little interaction with his sister, and his memories of her are vague. She married and left the House when he was five. George was trained from the time he could walk to fight, was sent to a military academy in Begma as a young man, and on his return followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Rangers.

George did well in the Rangers, combining his father's brawn with years of strategic study. He recently earned his knighthood, although some consider him too young for the honor in these times of peace. He married thirty years ago to Marianne Donnegal, the eldest daughter of the eldest daughter of Duke Chantris. She joined him in Begma, where he was part of an exchange program sponsored by the Academy. He has twin sons, Tony and Gene. Tony has taken after George's mother and at eighteen is already an accomplished pianist in Begma. Gene has recently been accepted into the Begman Military Academy. George has returned to Amber on his sister's request and Julian's orders.
