Patrice Pinegar

Lady Patrice Pinegar is the sister of Phillip Pinegar, the Duke of Carlisle. Despite being past the first flower of youth (she's 18 months younger than her brother), she has never married. She has been out of town for some long while, most recently in the country with her mother.
Patrice Pinegar is about 5'9 or so tall. She has the dark good looks of the Pinegar family, and favors a certain severe elegance in her manner of dress that some people might describe as mannish. As a young lady, she was the subject of several odes and songs to her beauty by RichardRein, the (late) older brother of LordRein.
As a young woman, Patrice spent most of her time with the Duke of Karm's sons, and it was widely expected that she would marry one or another of them. She ran a bit wild, duelling and getting into scrapes and hanging around with disreputable friends of the Karm boys that no entirely respectable lady of her rank should have known.
After an accident a few years before the battle of Jones Falls, in which Patrice was thrown from her horse, she went abroad for a number of years. Officially she was on a much-delayed Grand Tour of the GoldenCircle.
On her return to Amber, Patrice cleaned up her act. Friends of the family might see the unsubtle hand of Patrice's mother in this. Patrice made fast friends with PrincessFlorimel and a circle of unmarried ladies that she's still close to, but refused all offers for her hand. About the time of the Moonrider wars, she left Amber again and has only rarely come back, preferring to stay in her country house and with friends.
She's spent the last couple of years helping her mother recover from her father's death, and has at long last (probably to her vast relief) escaped to Amber, where she's staying with her brother and good-sister.
