Power Guidelines
Pattern
- Can move through Shadow to anywhere that the character has been or can imagine and visualize.
- Cannot "seek" for abstract concepts such as "the killer" or "the stronghold of my enemy."
- Can "find" an object in Shadow, provided that the character can visualize it.
- Cannot be used for Teleportation except and unless the character has walked a Pattern. In that instance only can the Pattern be used in this fashion. Should this occur, the character may not Teleport to a person or object but can only teleport to a location that they have been to or can imagine and visualize.
- Cannot use the Pattern as a Lens with which you may look through Shadow.
Trump
- Can be used to communicate with the subject of the Trump.
- Can be made of an individual person or a specific location.
- Cannot make a Trump of an object.
- Cannot make a Trump of a location that you have never been to or a person that you do not know.
Magic
- Can enhance the natural qualities of an object or shadow creature.
- Cannot create something from nothing. Creating something from something is easiest when the starting object is similar to the desired object.
- Spells cannot be hanged or otherwise pre-cast in preparation for use in a quick cast manner.
- Magic, the strength, types available and methods of use, will vary from Shadow to Shadow. Characters with Pattern will be hindered by this less than those without.
- Magic is most effective within a Shadow and least effective when used from one Shadow to effect another Shadow or something in another Shadow.
