Appearance: Jaime's natural form is of a slender humanoid. He is quite pale, with short rather vivid blue. His eyes are midnight blue, almost as black as his pupils. His ears are faintly pointed, but only very slightly. However, as a shape-shifter, he can change his form to suit his purposes and the circumstances. In Amber he has rounded the tops of his ears, and made his eyes appear more normal. However, in Chaos he would usually revert to his more natural form. His blue hair is a symbol of his status as a wizard of Himring, however, and as such he is unlikely to alter that. Jaime tends to dress in a coat of blue and/or black, over white or dark shirts. His trousers are also typically blue or black, along with black leather boots trimmed with silver.

History: Jaime was born and raised in Himring, a fairly stable Shadow near Chaos. Its stability is principally due to the location of a 'hot spot', or power source there. This is also the reason for the strong power of Magic in the Shadow. As a young man, Jaime studied under the tutelage of a renowned wizard named Astor. His aptitude for Sorcery was immediately obvious, and he soon surpassed his master in many respects. However, he continued to study under him for the next several years, serving faithfully until the end of his agreed tenure there.

Jaime had a number of close friends as a child, principally other students studying under Astor and although they had a friendly rivalry, it was never too fierce. He was only ever truly close to Actaeon, and their friendship has dwindled since Jaime traveled to Chaos. Actaeon is now a major Sorceror in Himring and widely known in that and nearby Shadows. However, his ambition is not too great, and as such he is unlikely to travel to Chaos and seek out greater knowledge and power.

By the age of 25, Jaime had become a competent Sorceror and had discovered that it was possible to mold the relatively malleable Shadows near Chaos through force of will; as such, he also discovered that it was possible for him to travel between different Shadows. He embarked on a journey of discovery and study, spending time with various masters in a number of different Shadows. Eventually, shortly before turning 30, he traveled to Chaos, and there studied at the Shadow Wielders' Guild. He petitioned for membership and was quickly accepted, his talents and potential obvious to the leaders of the Guild.

Shortly after joining the Guild, he met Drake Ghotien, recently arrived in Chaos, and also interested in joining the Guild. They soon became friends, with Jaime constantly amazed at Drake's powers and ability to stay alive given his extremely reckless style and practices.

Although Jaime was born in Himring, he has recently managed to trace his lineage back to Chaos, and ultimately Amber. He knows that his parents were Sylvia and Salvatore, and that Sylvia was the only surviving child of Bleys (or Brand; the identity of the Amberite is still somewhat uncertain) and a Chaosite named Larissa. Sylvia died giving birth to Jaime, and as such, Jaime is the last in the line of Bleys in Chaos. At least the of his line with Larissa. Salvatore does not seem to be related to the Princes of Amber, but Jaime has had much greater difficulty tracking down records of his descent on that side of the family. Certainly, it would be descended through a great number of generations, as Salvatore seems to be of stock native to Himring.

Jaime's friendship with Drake ended only a short time ago, when Drake left for a region of deep shadow. It was at this time that Jaime had discovered his lineage but Drake, preoccupied with thoughts of Ascension, did not have time to listen. He did, however, leave Jaime his Trump deck, and also access to his manor and grounds in Chaos. Since Jaime was interested in traveling to Amber in any case, he took the opportunity to use Drake's Trump of Ygg to travel there, and to announce his presence to the guards. He intended to carry word of Drake's disappearance and possible plans, as well as raise his own concerns with King Random.

Jaime has since sworn fealty to Random, and is as such a fully recognized member of the family. Since he hasn't been able determine which Amberite is his grandparent, he is, for the moment, content to consider himself descended from Bleys.
